The California Youth Football Alliance Opens their Inaugural Player of the Year Awards

Larkspur, CA - In their ongoing activities to Honor, Improve, and Advance the great sport and players of youth tackle football, the California Youth Football Alliance announced today the launch of their Inaugural Player of the Year Awards to recognize outstanding youth tackle football players for their contributions to their team, sport, and community. One Player of the Year will be selected in each age group: 14U, 12U, 10U, and 8U for a total of four (4) winners. All nominations should be received by November 25th at 6pm PT. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 9th.

Each winner will receive:

  • A new LIGHT football helmet valued at $450+. To learn more click here.

  • Up to $400 as a scholarship for their registration fees for their 2020 season, or as a donation to their favorite Youth Football Team

  • Custom CAYFA Player of the Year Gear

  • Custom CAYFA Award Football

Eligibility Requirements & Rules

  • Player must be no older than 14 years of age as of 7/31/19

  • Player must have played in at least 6 games for a 2019 youth tackle football team / league based in California

  • Player must be academically eligible in their league at time of award receipt

  • All final award winners must submit documents to validate they meet these requirements before awards are final

  • Additional data and criteria may be required prior to final award selection

  • Nomination is not a guarantee or commitment to any award or recognition

  • Each nomination should have a detailed explanation(details) of why that particular player should be awarded the honor

  • All nominations should be received by November 25th at 6pm

  • Winners will be announced Monday December 9th.
